We will now be the first tournament of the year for the Western Canadian Walleye Trail! This will ensure a completely new fishing experience with it being earlier – change of tactics, locations of fish and depths – should be a lot of fun! We have been working very hard to get more and bigger sponsorships, every year it just keeps getting better! This year we are adding a new prize for youngest angler and a 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize for under 16. This is a great way to get kids involved. Remember, this is a non-profit tournament with proceeds going to the local ATV and sled club and our local ski hill. Please show your support by supporting our sponsors, without them none of this would happen. REMINDER – you must be off the lake by noon on Friday, rules meeting is at the Big River community Hall at 5pm. On Saturday there will be a meal at 5pm and then awards on Sunday at 5pm. FIRST FLIGHT: 7am to 3pm SECOND FLIGHT: 7:30am to 3:30pm. PRE-ORDER: Don’t forget you can pre-order your leeches by calling Patty or Amy at the Big River Esso at 306-469-5774. A second meeting may be held the following morning after launch at the check in station for those participants unable to attend the Friday night meeting. Saturday, June 22nd 6 AM - Tournament start time - Participants to check in at check station prior to launch. 4 PM - Tournament end time - Prior to 4 PM participants must check out. Fish caught from outside these times will not be accepted. 5:30 PM - Awards presentation and kayak draw to be held at The Spruceview Community Hall.
